Preview: Red Wings at Panthers, March 10, 2026 SUNRISE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Detroit Red Wings seek immediate redemption when they visit the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night at Amerant Bank Arena, just four days after a decisive home-ice loss to the same opponent. The Panthers (31-32) defeated the Red Wings (35-28) 3-1 in Detroit last Friday, powered by a natural hat trick from Matthew Tkachuk. That result leveled the season series at one win apiece, following Detroit’s 4-1 victory in October. Detroit, holding a more favorable record in the standings, aims to halt a two-game skid after also falling in overtime to Vegas last Wednesday. Captain Dylan Larkin, who had an assist in Friday’s loss, remains a central figure. Over his last five games, Larkin has recorded two assists and 18 shots on goal, but the team has struggled for consistent offense, scoring two or fewer goals in three of those contests. Florida, however, arrives with its own turbulence, having lost three of its last four games since the win in Detroit. The club’s performance has been uneven, following a 5-1 rout of Toronto with a listless 5-1 loss to New Jersey. Tkachuk’s outburst against the Red Wings was a bright spot in an otherwise quiet stretch where he was held without a point in two of the three preceding games. The matchup pits Detroit’s need to stabilize its playoff positioning against Florida’s desire to claw back into the race. Special teams and goaltending will be critical; the Red Wings must find a way to solve Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, who stopped 27 of 28 shots in Friday’s meeting. Following this contest, both teams face quick turnarounds. Detroit begins a two-game road trip through Tampa Bay and Dallas, while Florida opens a four-game homestand against Columbus before embarking on a challenging four-game Western Canada road swing. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT.
