DALLAS (Interstat) — The surging Dallas Stars, bolstered by a red-hot Wyatt Johnston, visit the struggling Calgary Flames on Tuesday night in a matchup of teams heading in opposite directions. The Stars (36-23-0) enter Scotiabank Saddledome having won three straight and eight of their last 10, solidifying their playoff position in the Western Conference. The Flames (24-35-0), meanwhile, have lost two consecutive games and nine of their last 10, falling well out of the postseason picture. Dallas is led by center Wyatt Johnston, who has been a driving force in the recent success. He recorded a goal and an assist in Saturday’s 3-2 overtime win over Nashville, part of a stretch where he has three goals and four points in his last three contests. Jason Robertson and Nathan Bastian also contributed with two points each in the victory over the Predators. Calgary’s bright spot has been center Yegor Sharangovich, who scored the team’s lone regulation goal in a 3-2 shootout loss to Anaheim on Sunday. He has points in two of his last three games, but the Flames have struggled to find consistent offense, being shut out in Los Angeles just two days prior. The teams last met on Nov. 22, 2025, with the Flames earning a 3-2 shootout victory at home. Calgary will look to replicate that result and snap its skid, while Dallas aims to continue its climb up the standings. According to National Statistical’s game simulator, the projected final score is Dallas 3, Calgary 2. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST. UP NEXT Stars: Host the Colorado Avalanche on Friday. Flames: Host the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.
