Preview: Avalanche at Mammoth SALT LAKE CITY (Interstat) — The surging Utah Mammoth will look to continue their push for a playoff spot when they host the Western Conference-leading Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night at Delta Center. The matchup features two teams on divergent recent trajectories. Utah (30-27-0) has won three straight and seven of its last 10 games, including a decisive 4-1 victory over Detroit on Feb. 4. Nick Schmaltz, with a goal and an assist, and goaltender Karel Vejmelka, who made 29 saves, powered that win.
