Bruins, Rangers Set for Rematch at Madison Square Garden NEW YORK (Interstat) β The surging Boston Bruins will look to extend their winning streak and continue their dominance over the struggling New York Rangers when the teams meet Monday night at Madison Square Garden. The Bruins (30-22-0) enter on a three-game win streak following a 4-3 victory over Montreal on Saturday. Boston has won seven of its last 10 games and sits firmly in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Conversely, the Rangers (21-31-0) are mired in a slump, having lost eight of their last 10, including a 3-1 defeat in San Jose on Friday. New York occupies the basement of the Metropolitan Division. This matchup is a stark contrast from their last meeting just over two weeks ago, when the Bruins throttled the Rangers 10-2 in Boston on Jan. 10. The teams split their two games this season, with New York earning a 6-2 win on Nov. 28, 2025. A key player to watch for Boston is center Morgan Geekie, who is riding a hot hand. He scored two goals in the win over Montreal and has recorded three goals and two assists in his last three games. His recent surge includes a two-goal, three-shot performance against the Canadiens. For the Rangers, center Sam Carrick will be one to monitor. He scored the lone goal in the loss to San Jose and has goals in two of his last four contests. However, discipline has been an issue; Carrick took seven penalty minutes in the Jan. 10 blowout loss to Boston. The Bruinsβ success has been built on balanced scoring and steady goaltending. Jeremy Swayman, who made 22 saves against Montreal, could get the nod again. The Rangers will likely turn to Spencer Martin, who stopped 28 shots in the loss to the Sharks. Following this game, Boston returns home to face Nashville on Tuesday. The Rangers continue a tough stretch with a home-and-home set against the New York Islanders starting Wednesday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST at Madison Square Garden.
