ANAHEIM, Calif. (Interstat) — The struggling Seattle Kraken look to snap a lengthy skid when they visit the Anaheim Ducks in a Pacific Division matchup Monday night at Honda Center. The Kraken (12-20-0) enter on a seven-game losing streak, including a 4-2 defeat at Calgary on Thursday. Their last victory was a 3-2 overtime win against Los Angeles on Dec. 10. Seattle has been outscored 32-15 during its current slide. Anaheim (20-15-0), meanwhile, aims to rebound from a lopsided 8-3 home loss to Dallas on Friday. That defeat halted a stretch of solid play for the Ducks, who had won five of their previous seven games. A key matchup will feature two veteran centers on recent scoring runs. Seattle’s Chandler Stephenson has been a rare bright spot, recording a point in seven of his last 10 games. He has four goals and three assists in that span, including a goal in Thursday’s loss. Anaheim will counter with Mikael Granlund, who has points in two of his last three contests. He tallied a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime loss at Columbus on Dec. 16 and scored in the loss to Dallas. The teams have met once this season, with Seattle securing a 3-1 home victory on Oct. 9. The Kraken will need similar defensive discipline to replicate that result, as they have allowed four or more goals in six games during their losing streak. Following this contest, Seattle begins a back-to-back set, traveling to face the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. Anaheim is off until Saturday, when it begins a home-and-home series with the Kings at Crypto.com Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. PST.
