BOSTON (Interstat) â The Ottawa Senators, riding a three-game win streak, will face a Boston Bruins team looking to rebound from a home loss when the Atlantic Division rivals meet Sunday at TD Garden. The Senators (17-17-0) arrive after a 6-4 victory over Chicago on Saturday, their third consecutive win. Center Tim Stuetzle was pivotal in that victory, scoring a goal and adding two assists. He enters Sunday on a hot streak, recording 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists) in his last 10 games. âWeâre playing with more confidence and structure,â Senators coach Travis Green said after Saturdayâs win. âWe need to carry that into a tough building against a very good team.â The Bruins (20-15-0) are concluding a three-game homestand after a 3-1 loss to Edmonton on Thursday. Goaltender Jeremy Swayman, projected to start, made 22 saves in that defeat. In his last five appearances, Swayman is 3-2-0 with a .911 save percentage, including a 41-save performance in a win over the New York Islanders on Nov. 26. âWe had our chances but didnât capitalize,â Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said following the Edmonton game. âOur response and our start on Sunday will be critical.â The season series has favored Ottawa so far, with the Senators winning two of three matchups. Most recently, Ottawa defeated Boston 5-3 on Nov. 13. The Bruinsâ lone win came in overtime, 3-2, on Nov. 6 in Boston. Ottawaâs recent surge has been fueled by offensive balance. Alongside Stuetzle, Brady Tkachuk scored Saturday and leads the team in shots, while Fabian Zetterlund contributed a goal and an assist. The Senators have scored 13 goals during their win streak. Bostonâs offense, led by David Pastrnak, will test an Ottawa defense that has shown improvement. The Bruins have been inconsistent at home lately, alternating wins and losses in their last five games at TD Garden. According to National Statisticalâs game simulator, the projected final score is Boston 3, Ottawa 2. Following this matchup, Ottawa will host Buffalo on Tuesday. Boston will continue its holiday schedule at home against Montreal on Tuesday.
