Preview: Panthers at Stars, Saturday, December 13, 2025 DALLAS (Interstat) — The surging Dallas Stars, owners of one of the NHL’s best records, will host the inconsistent Florida Panthers in a cross-conference matchup Saturday night at American Airlines Center. The Stars (21-10-0) enter on a strong run, having earned points in eight of their last nine games (7-1-1). Their most recent outing was a 4-3 victory at Winnipeg on Tuesday, where defenseman Alexander Petrovic contributed a goal. Petrovic, a player to watch for Dallas, has been a physical presence with points in four of his last ten contests. Florida (15-14-0) arrives after a 4-3 road win over Utah on Wednesday, snapping a two-game skid. Center Sam Bennett starred in that victory with two goals and an assist, continuing a productive stretch. Bennett, a key player to watch for the Panthers, has recorded 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) in his last ten games. The Panthers have shown a high-octane offense at times, including a 7-6 overtime win over Columbus and an 8-3 rout of Nashville last month, but have struggled for consistency. Their defense will be tested by a deep Dallas attack that has scored four or more goals in six of its last ten games. This is the second meeting between the teams this season. Florida won the first matchup 4-3 in a shootout at home on Nov. 1. The game kicks off a challenging road stretch for the Panthers, who will visit the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday. Dallas continues a homestand Monday against the Los Angeles Kings. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. CST.
