CALGARY, Alberta (Interstat) — The Minnesota Wild, riding a strong stretch of play, visit the struggling Calgary Flames on Thursday night at Scotiabank Saddledome. Minnesota (14-12-0) arrives having earned points in seven of its last 10 games (7-2-1), including a 2-1 shootout loss to Buffalo last Saturday. Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy each scored in that contest, with Boldy adding four shots on goal. The Wild have been strong on the road recently, winning three straight away games before the Buffalo loss. Calgary (9-18-0) seeks to end a scoring slump, having been shut out in two of its last three contests. The Flames are coming off a 1-0 overtime loss at Carolina on Sunday. They have lost three of their last four overall. The Wild won the previous meeting this season, 2-0 at home on Nov. 9. Filip Gustavsson recorded the shutout in that game. Minnesota’s upcoming schedule includes a road back-to-back in Vancouver on Saturday and Seattle on Monday. Calgary continues a homestand Saturday against Utah. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. MST.
