ANAHEIM, Calif. (Interstat) — The Anaheim Ducks will look to continue their strong start and extend a recent edge over the Utah Mammoth when the teams meet Wednesday night at Honda Center. The Ducks (16-10) enter with a six-point standings advantage over the Mammoth (12-14) and are coming off a 4-1 road win over the St. Louis Blues on Monday. Defenseman Pavel Mintyukov led the way with a goal and an assist, while centers Mason McTavish and Leo Carlsson each contributed a goal. Utah arrives seeking to halt a three-game skid, all on the road, including a 1-0 loss in St. Louis on Saturday. Clayton Keller managed four shots on goal in that shutout defeat. The most recent meeting between these teams was a 3-2 overtime victory for Anaheim at home on Nov. 17. The Mammoth have lost four of their last five games overall, while the Ducks have won seven of their last ten. Following this game, Utah continues a road trip Friday in Vancouver. Anaheim opens a brief homestand Friday against Washington.
