MONTREAL (Interstat) — The Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens, two Atlantic Division rivals separated by a single point in the standings, will meet Tuesday night at the Bell Centre. The Canadiens (13-11-0) enter the contest after a 7-2 road loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. Rookie Ivan Demidov and defenseman Lane Hutson each scored a goal in the defeat. Montreal had won three straight prior to the loss, including a 5-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Senators (12-12-0) are looking to rebound after a 4-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Friday. Shane Pinto and Fabian Zetterlund each scored a goal in the game, while captain Brady Tkachuk added an assist. Ottawa has been inconsistent, alternating wins and losses over its last five games. The teams last met on Nov. 1, with Montreal securing a 4-3 overtime victory on home ice. Following this game, the Canadiens will host the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday. The Senators return home to face the New York Rangers on Thursday.
