SUNRISE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers, two teams seeking consistency, will meet Tuesday night at Amerant Bank Arena. The Maple Leafs (11-14) are coming off a decisive 7-2 road victory against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday. Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson, along with forwards Nicolas Roy and Bobby McMann, each recorded a goal and an assist in the win. Despite the offensive outburst, Toronto has lost four of its last six games. The Panthers (12-12) have alternated wins and losses over their last five contests. They are returning home after a 5-3 loss to the Calgary Flames on Friday. Sam Bennett and Evan Rodrigues each scored a goal for Florida in the defeat. Tuesday’s game is the first of two regular-season meetings between the clubs. The Panthers will look to defend their home ice, where they are 6-5 this season, while the Maple Leafs will try to build momentum from their highest-scoring game of the season. Following this contest, Toronto travels to face the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday. Florida remains at home to host the Nashville Predators on the same night.
