CLEVELAND (Interstat) — A stark contrast in seasons will be on display Sunday when the playoff-bound Buffalo Bills visit the struggling Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field. The Bills (10-4) enter on a three-game winning streak, while the Browns (3-11) have lost three straight and eight of their last nine. Despite the disparity, National Statistical’s game simulator projects an upset, forecasting a 30-22 victory for Cleveland. The Browns have been installed as a 10.5-point favorite, with an over/under of 41.5. Buffalo’s surge is powered by quarterback Josh Allen, who has accounted for nine touchdowns (seven passing, two rushing) during the winning streak. In last week’s 35-31 victory at New England, Allen passed for 193 yards and three scores while adding 48 yards on the ground. Running back James Cook III complemented him with 107 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Cleveland’s hopes rest with rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who has shown flashes amid a difficult season. Sanders threw for 364 yards and three touchdowns in a narrow 31-29 loss to Tennessee two weeks ago but was held to 177 yards in a 31-3 defeat at Chicago last Sunday. The Browns’ offense has averaged just 13.3 points during their current skid. The Bills’ defense, which forced four turnovers in a 26-7 win at Pittsburgh on Nov. 30, will look to pressure Sanders. Cleveland’s defense, however, has kept games closer recently, allowing an average of 22.6 points over its last five outings after earlier struggles. Buffalo aims to solidify its postseason positioning, while Cleveland plays for pride and evaluation in its home finale. The Bills have won the last two meetings between the clubs, including a 31-23 victory in Cleveland in 2022. Following this game, Buffalo hosts Philadelphia on Dec. 28. Cleveland remains at home to face Pittsburgh the same day.
