Tulane, FAU Meet in AAC Women’s Basketball Matchup BOCA RATON, Fla. (Interstat) — Two American Athletic Conference teams seeking momentum to close the regular season will meet Tuesday when the Tulane Green Wave visit the Florida Atlantic Owls. The women’s basketball game is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST at FAU Gymnasium. Tulane (11-16) enters off a 62-54 home victory over Wichita State on Saturday. Florida Atlantic (12-16) looks to rebound from a narrow 57-56 home loss to Charlotte last Tuesday. Both teams sit outside the top tier of the AAC standings with the conference tournament approaching. A key matchup will feature Tulane guard Kanija Daniel against FAU’s Grace Carstensen. Daniel is coming off a 20-point performance in the win over Wichita State and has averaged 12.3 points over her last four games. Carstensen has been a consistent contributor for the Owls, scoring in double figures in two of her last five outings, including an 11-point effort against Charlotte. The Green Wave have shown recent volatility, sandwiching a 46-65 loss at Tulsa between wins over Memphis and Wichita State in their last four contests. Their offense has struggled at times, failing to reach 50 points in two of their last six games. The Owls have faced a tough stretch, with their loss to Charlotte marking their third consecutive defeat. Prior to this skid, FAU had won three straight, including a 79-77 overtime victory at Wichita State on Feb. 10. Defense has been an issue during the losing streak, allowing an average of 68.7 points per game. This will be the only scheduled meeting between the programs this season. Tulane’s next game is at home against South Florida on March 7. Florida Atlantic travels to face Temple on the same date.
