MOBILE, Ala. (Interstat) β A surging Troy womenβs basketball team looks to continue its dominant Sun Belt Conference run when it visits South Alabama on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at the Mitchell Center. The Trojans (24-4 overall), riding a five-game winning streak, are heavy favorites against a Jaguars squad (10-17) that has struggled for consistency. Troy won the first meeting this season, 84-73, at home on Feb. 18. Troy is powered by forward Fortuna Ngnawo, who is averaging a double-double over her last seven games. She scored 16 points in the earlier win over South Alabama and is coming off a 14-point performance in a 61-54 road victory at Arkansas State on Tuesday. South Alabama, which snapped a six-game skid with a 64-59 win at Texas State on Feb. 21, will counter with guard Daniela Gonzalez. She dished out eight assists in the loss at Troy and led the Jaguars with 14 points and seven rebounds in the win over Texas State. The Jaguars will need a major defensive effort to slow a potent Troy offense that has scored 80 or more points in four of its last five games. South Alabama has lost eight of its last ten. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
