Preview: Stetson Looks to Sweep Season Series at FGCU FORT MYERS, Fla. (Interstat) — A surging Stetson women’s basketball team will aim to complete a regular-season sweep of Florida Gulf Coast when the ASUN Conference rivals meet Friday night at Alico Arena. The Hatters (18-9) enter with momentum, having won seven of their last eight games. They defeated the Eagles (13-14) 62-52 just two weeks ago in DeLand on Feb. 14. Stetson is coming off a 69-54 home victory over Eastern Kentucky last Saturday, where Promise Keshi posted a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Keshi, a key player for the Hatters, is averaging 10.1 points and 6.1 rebounds over her last seven contests. She recorded 19 points and 11 rebounds in 36 minutes against Eastern Kentucky. Florida Gulf Coast seeks to halt a two-game skid and improve its standing in the conference. The Eagles fell 70-61 at Jacksonville last Saturday. Sinai Douglas has been a consistent force for FGCU, averaging a near double-double of 14.6 points and 8.4 rebounds over her last eight games. She logged a 15-point, 13-rebound performance in the loss to Jacksonville. In the teams’ previous matchup this season, Stetson’s defense held FGCU to 52 points, a season-low for the Eagles at that time. The Hatters have held opponents under 70 points in six of their last seven wins. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. EST on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at Alico Arena on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University.
