Preview: No. 12/13 Princeton Tigers at Dartmouth Big Green HANOVER, N.H. (Interstat) — The surging Princeton Tigers, ranked 12th nationally, look to continue their dominant Ivy League campaign when they visit the Dartmouth Big Green in a women’s basketball matchup Friday night at Leede Arena. Princeton (21-3, 10-1 Ivy) enters on a three-game winning streak, having outscored its last three opponents by an average of 27 points. The Tigers’ defense has been stifling, allowing just 41.3 points per game during that stretch, capped by a 69-37 rout of Brown last Saturday. A key catalyst is junior guard Madison St. Rose, who is coming off a career-high 30-point performance against Brown. Over her last five games, she is averaging 16.6 points, demonstrating her role as Princeton’s primary scoring threat. Support comes from Fadima Tall and Skye Belker, who combined for 18 points in the win over Brown. Dartmouth (10-14, 3-8) seeks to halt a four-game skid, most recently a lopsided 81-42 home loss to Columbia. The Big Green have struggled offensively during the losing streak, failing to reach 55 points in any of the four contests. Senior forward Cate MacDonald will be central to Dartmouth’s hopes. She leads the team in rebounding and is coming off a 10-point, 8-rebound effort at Yale on Feb. 14. Her interior presence will be tested by a formidable Princeton frontcourt. The Tigers won the season’s first meeting in dominant fashion, 69-41, in New Jersey on Jan. 17. Princeton has won 12 of the last 13 matchups in the series. For Princeton, the game is a crucial step toward securing the Ivy League regular-season title and a top seed in the conference tournament. Dartmouth, meanwhile, aims to play spoiler and build momentum before hosting Penn on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
