WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PREVIEW: WAGNER AT NEW HAVEN WEST HAVEN, Conn. (Interstat) — The Wagner Seahawks visit the New Haven Chargers in a Northeast Conference women’s basketball matchup on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at Charger Gymnasium. Wagner (12-14) enters the contest looking to build momentum after a 58-51 home victory over Saint Francis (PA) on Feb. 21. New Haven (7-19) seeks to end a five-game losing streak, most recently a 69-55 home loss to Fairleigh Dickinson on the same date. The Seahawks won the previous meeting this season, 50-45, at home on Jan. 17. A key player for Wagner is Irene Fernandez de Caleya, who is coming off a strong performance of 11 points and nine rebounds in 35 minutes against Saint Francis (PA). Over her last eight games, she has averaged 9.1 points and 6.0 rebounds. New Haven will counter with forward Teaira Kelley, who recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to Fairleigh Dickinson.
