ATLANTA (Interstat) — The Louisville Cardinals, looking to rebound from a narrow home loss, visit the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in an Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball matchup on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at Hank McCamish Pavilion. Louisville (24-5, 13-3 ACC) enters having won seven of its last eight, but is coming off a 74-72 defeat to Virginia last Sunday. The Cardinals had won six straight prior to that stumble. Georgia Tech (12-16, 5-11) has struggled for consistency but has shown flashes, including a 22-point rout of Stanford earlier this month. A key matchup will feature Louisville’s high-scoring guard Elif Istanbulluoglu against Georgia Tech’s versatile forward Brianna Turnage. Istanbulluoglu is coming off a 20-point performance in the loss to Virginia and has averaged 12.3 points over her last seven games. Turnage, meanwhile, has been a force on the boards and defensively. She logged 40 minutes and grabbed 15 rebounds with four blocks in Tech’s last outing, a loss at Virginia Tech, and had a 20-point, five-assist game in a win at Pittsburgh. The Cardinals boast a balanced attack. In the Virginia loss, Laura Ziegler posted an 11-point, 12-rebound, seven-assist line, while Imari Berry added 12 points. Louisville’s offense averages over 78 points per game during its recent stretch. The Yellow Jackets will rely on Turnage’s all-around game and the scoring of Savannah Samuel, who had 13 points against Virginia Tech. Georgia Tech’s season has been marked by tight losses, including a double-overtime defeat at Clemson. Louisville won the season’s first meeting, 86-46, in Pittsburgh on Jan. 11. The Cardinals have dominated the recent series, winning 12 of the last 13 matchups. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST. Louisville hosts Notre Dame next on March 1, while Georgia Tech remains home to face Miami (Fla.) the same day.
