Preview: TCU Lady Frogs at Cincinnati Bearcats CINCINNATI (Interstat) — The eighth-ranked TCU Lady Frogs, riding a five-game winning streak, visit the Cincinnati Bearcats in a Big 12 women’s basketball matchup Wednesday at Fifth Third Arena. TCU (25-4, 14-2 Big 12) enters as one of the nation’s hottest teams, having won 10 of its last 11. The Lady Frogs are coming off an 80-73 victory over Iowa State on Sunday, fueled by a historic triple-double from star guard Olivia Miles. The senior poured in 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the win, her second triple-double of the season. Miles has been on a sensational run, averaging 24.6 points and 6.1 assists over her last eight games. That stretch includes a 40-point outburst in a road win at Baylor on Feb. 12. She forms a formidable frontcourt duo with forward Marta Suárez, who notched a double-double (19 points, 10 rebounds) against Iowa State. Cincinnati (11-17, 5-11) looks to build momentum after snapping a four-game skid with a 73-60 home win over UCF on Saturday. The Bearcats have shown resilience at home in conference play, with recent victories over Arizona and BYU at Fifth Third Arena. Forward Kylie Torrence will be a key for the Bearcats. She nearly posted a double-double in the win over UCF, contributing eight points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Her defensive presence inside will be tested against TCU’s high-powered offense, which averages 76.2 points per game. The Bearcats will need a disciplined defensive effort to slow a TCU team that shoots 47.8% from the field, third-best in the Big 12. Cincinnati ranks last in the conference in scoring defense, allowing 74.3 points per game. This is the second meeting between the programs this season. TCU won the first matchup 67-50 in Fort Worth on Jan. 24. Following this game, TCU hosts Baylor on March 1 to close the regular season. Cincinnati travels to face West Virginia on the same day.
