BOULDER, Colo. (Interstat) — A surging Colorado team looks to solidify its standing when it hosts a Utah squad seeking a resume-boosting road win in a Big 12 women’s basketball matchup Tuesday night at the Coors Events Center. The Buffaloes (20-8, 11-5 Big 12) enter on a five-game winning streak, most recently a 75-68 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday. Guard Desiree Wooten has been instrumental, averaging 15.0 points and 5.1 assists over her last seven contests. Her playmaking will be central against Utah’s defense. The Utes (17-11, 8-8) aim to rebound from an 86-74 home loss to BYU, which snapped a brief two-game win streak. Their fortunes often follow the scoring of guard Lani White, who has topped 19 points in five of her last eight games, including a 20-point effort against BYU. Colorado won the season’s first meeting, 79-65, in Salt Lake City on Jan. 10.
