TULSA, Okla. (Interstat) — The Tulsa women’s basketball team looks to solidify its standing in the American Athletic Conference when it hosts Tulane on Tuesday night at the Donald Reynolds Center. The Golden Hurricane (17-9, 8-5 AAC) enter the matchup with a winning conference record, while the visiting Green Wave (10-15, 5-8) aim to build on a recent upset victory and climb the league table. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CST. Tulsa holds a significant edge in the season series, having edged Tulane 76-73 in New Orleans on Jan. 6. The Golden Hurricane have relied on the consistent production of forward Hannah Riddick, who is averaging 17.4 points over her last seven games. She scored 17 points in Friday’s 59-55 win over UAB. Tulane, however, arrives with momentum after a 69-54 home win over Memphis last Thursday. Guard Shiloh Kimpson fueled that victory with a double-double of 12 points and 10 assists in 34 minutes. Her playmaking will be critical for a Green Wave offense that has struggled at times this season. The matchup pits Tulsa’s stronger overall record against a Tulane squad that has shown recent flashes, winning two of its last three. The Golden Hurricane have been tougher at home, posting an 11-3 record in Tulsa this season. Following this game, Tulsa will travel to face Rice on Saturday. Tulane returns home to host Wichita State on Feb. 28. Probable Starters: Tulane Green Wave: G Shiloh Kimpson, G CC Mays, F Amira Mabry, plus two others. Tulsa Golden Hurricane: F Hannah Riddick, G Mady Cartwright, G Jade Clack, plus two others.
