LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — The top-ranked UCLA Bruins, boasting one of the most dominant seasons in recent women’s college basketball history, will host a struggling Wisconsin Badgers team in a Big Ten Conference matchup Sunday at Pauley Pavilion. UCLA (25-1) has steamrolled its competition, winning its last 11 games by an average margin of 26.5 points. Their lone loss came in non-conference play. The Bruins’ engine is center Lauren Betts, who has been a model of efficiency. Over her last seven games, Betts is averaging 18.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists while often playing limited minutes due to lopsided scores. In Thursday’s 82-67 win over Washington, she scored 23 points in just 25 minutes. The Bruins present a monumental challenge for Wisconsin (13-14), which has lost seven consecutive games. The Badgers’ last win was a 63-60 victory over Nebraska on Jan. 21. During this skid, their defense has allowed an average of 80.1 points per game. Wisconsin will rely on the playmaking of guard Ronnie Porter to navigate UCLA’s formidable defense. Porter is coming off a 12-assist performance in a 59-66 loss at Southern California on Thursday and has averaged 7.1 assists over the last seven contests. Support from teammates like Kyrah Daniels, who led the Badgers with 13 points against USC, will be critical. The game is part of a challenging final stretch for Wisconsin, which hosts Iowa next Sunday. UCLA, firmly in control of the conference, will visit crosstown rival Southern California next Sunday in its regular-season finale. Tipoff is set for Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles.
