TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Stanford Cardinal will look to halt a five-game skid when they visit the Florida State Seminoles in an Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball matchup on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026. Stanford (16-12) arrives at the Donald L. Tucker Center reeling from a 51-66 loss at Miami on Thursday. The Cardinal have not won since an 86-65 victory at Pittsburgh on Feb. 5, a stretch that includes six losses in their last seven games. Florida State (9-18) has also struggled, falling 62-75 at home to California on Thursday for its third loss in four contests. The Seminoles’ two conference wins this season came in a home upset of Miami and against Boston College earlier this month. A key matchup will feature Stanford guard Hailee Swain against Florida State’s Sydney Bowles. Swain has been a consistent scorer during Stanford’s difficult stretch, averaging 11.6 points over her last eight games. She led the Cardinal with 16 points in 38 minutes against Miami. Bowles is coming off a season-high 17 points in just 20 minutes off the bench against California, showcasing a scoring burst the Seminoles will need against a Stanford defense that has allowed an average of 74.4 points during its losing streak. Stanford holds the superior overall record, but both teams are seeking stability in the final weeks of the regular season. The Cardinal will rely on Swain, Courtney Ogden and Chloe Clardy, who were the top producers in the Miami loss. Florida State will need another efficient performance from Bowles, alongside regular contributors Tatum Greene and SolĆØ Williams. Following this game, Stanford will host SMU on Feb. 26. Florida State hits the road to face Duke on the same date.
