Preview: Iowa State Cyclones at TCU Lady Frogs FORT WORTH, Texas (Interstat) — A top-tier Big 12 Conference clash is set for Sunday when the TCU Lady Frogs host the Iowa State Cyclones at Dickies Arena. The matchup features two of the league’s hottest teams and a marquee point guard duel. TCU (24-4, 12-3 Big 12) enters with wins in nine of its last 10 games, while Iowa State (21-6, 11-4) has won seven of its last eight. The Lady Frogs, led by dynamic guard Olivia Miles, boast one of the nation’s most efficient offenses. Miles is averaging 22.4 points and 5.4 assists over her last seven games, including a 40-point outburst in a win at Baylor on Feb. 12. Her backcourt leadership will be critical against Iowa State’s pressure. The Cyclones counter with their own stellar floor general, Jada Williams, who is averaging 19.3 points and 7.0 assists during the same seven-game stretch. Williams is coming off a 26-point, 8-assist performance in a 90-64 rout of Arizona State on Wednesday. Center Audi Crooks, who scored 28 points in that win, provides a dominant interior presence. TCU’s defense, which has held opponents under 60 points in three of its last five games, will be tested by Iowa State’s high-powered, perimeter-oriented attack. The Cyclones lead the Big 12 in 3-pointers made per game. The Lady Frogs won the first meeting this season, 78-70, in Ames on Jan. 7. Miles scored 24 points in that victory, while Williams had 18 for Iowa State. Sunday’s result will have significant implications for seeding in the upcoming Big 12 tournament. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. CST.
