Preview: Duke Set for ACC Clash at Clemson GREENVILLE, S.C. (Interstat) — A surging Duke women’s basketball team aims to extend its winning streak when it visits Clemson in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup Sunday at Bi-Lo Center. The Blue Devils (20-6, 11-2 ACC) have won eight consecutive games, most recently an 83-65 victory over then-North Carolina State on Thursday. Guard Ashlon Jackson, the team’s engine, scored 17 points in that win and has been a model of consistency, averaging 11.1 points, 4.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds during the streak. Her backcourt leadership will be pivotal against Clemson’s pressure. The Lady Tigers (18-9, 8-5), seeking a resume-boosting win, are led by dynamic guard Mia Moore. She is coming off a 17-point, seven-assist performance in a close 68-64 loss at Syracuse and has showcased high-scoring ability, including a 31-point outing in a double-overtime win over Georgia Tech on Feb. 12. Containing Moore is Duke’s primary defensive objective. Clemson has shown resilience at home, with a 12-2 record at Bi-Lo Center this season. However, Duke boasts one of the nation’s top defenses, allowing just 55.8 points per game during its streak. The Blue Devils’ balance was on full display against the Wolfpack, with Toby Fournier scoring 26 points and Arianna Roberson adding 15 off the bench. This contest features a contrast in tempo. Duke prefers a methodical, defensive-minded approach, while Clemson looks to push pace behind Moore. The Lady Tigers will need to solve Duke’s defensive schemes and find secondary scoring to support Moore. A Duke victory would solidify its top-four seeding for the ACC Tournament. A Clemson win would provide a crucial Quadrant 1 victory for its NCAA tournament hopes. The game tips off at 2 p.m. EST Sunday.
