Wright State Looks to Avenge Loss, Visit Northern Kentucky in Horizon League Clash HIGHALND HEIGHTS, Ky. (Interstat) — The Wright State Raiders visit the Northern Kentucky Norse on Saturday in a Horizon League women’s basketball matchup, seeking to avenge a lopsided loss from earlier this season. The game is scheduled for Feb. 21, 2026, at Regents Hall. Northern Kentucky (13-15 overall) dominated the first meeting, winning 82-56 at Wright State on Jan. 17. The Raiders (10-18) enter this rematch with some momentum, having won three of their last four games, including a 77-55 victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday. In that win, Claire Henson scored 14 points and dished out seven assists, while Lauren Scott added 15 points. Henson, a key player to watch for Wright State, has been a consistent performer during the team’s recent improved stretch. Over her last seven games, she is averaging 11.1 points and 3.3 assists per contest. The Norse have struggled lately, dropping two of their last three, including a 75-55 home loss to Youngstown State on Thursday. Northern Kentucky will rely on forward Karina Bystry, who scored 18 points in that defeat and is averaging 18.2 points over her last six outings. Bystry had a season-high 35 points in a Jan. 24 overtime loss to Fort Wayne. Both teams are looking to improve their positioning ahead of the Horizon League tournament. Following this game, Wright State will host Cleveland State on Feb. 25, while Northern Kentucky travels to face Oakland on the same date. The Raiders will need a stronger defensive effort after allowing the Norse to shoot 50% from the field in the January meeting. Northern Kentucky aims to protect its home court and complete a regular-season series sweep. Tip-off is set for Saturday afternoon at Regents Hall.
