BOSTON (Interstat) — A Patriot League women’s basketball rematch with postseason implications is set for Saturday when Lehigh visits Boston University at Agganis Arena. The Mountain Hawks (14-11) enter the contest riding momentum from a 75-64 victory over Navy on Wednesday, powered by 21 points from Lily Fandre and 20 from standout guard Whitney Lind. Lehigh has won four of its last five games to solidify its position in the conference standings. The Terriers (9-17), despite a challenging season, are coming off one of their best performances: a 77-70 overtime road win at Colgate. Guard Bella McLaughlin led the way with 22 points, continuing her strong late-season play. She averaged 18.5 points and 5.0 assists in two games last week. This matchup is a quick turnaround from their Jan. 14 meeting, which Boston University won 68-64 at Lehigh. The Terriers will look to secure a regular-season sweep, while the Mountain Hawks aim for revenge and to strengthen their conference tournament seeding. Lind has been the engine for Lehigh, scoring in double figures in eight consecutive games, including a 23-point outing at American on Feb. 11. Her backcourt battle with McLaughlin, who has averaged 17.3 points over her last three contests, will be pivotal. Boston University will need another efficient offensive afternoon to counter a Lehigh team that has shown potent scoring ability during its recent surge. The Terriers’ defense, which held Colgate to 39% shooting in their last outing, will be tested by a balanced Mountain Hawks attack. The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. tipoff on Saturday, Feb. 21.
