Preview of Delaware State at Morgan State Women’s Basketball BALTIMORE (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum at the close of a difficult season will meet Saturday when the Delaware State Hornets visit the Morgan State Bears in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference women’s basketball matchup. The game, scheduled for Feb. 21, 2026, at Hill Field House, features teams with identical 1-13 MEAC records. Delaware State enters at 4-21 overall, while Morgan State is 4-22. Both squads are looking to build on rare recent victories. Morgan State snapped a five-game skid with a decisive 73-47 road win at South Carolina State on Monday. Guard Michaela Bogans led the way with 11 points and five assists in 37 minutes. Bogans has been a consistent facilitator for the Bears, averaging 7.4 points and 3.6 assists over her last five contests. Delaware State, meanwhile, is mired in a nine-game losing streak following a 77-45 loss at Norfolk State last Saturday. In that game, forward Ericka Huggins provided a bright spot with a team-high 12 points and six rebounds. Huggins, a key player for the Hornets, has scored in double figures in two of her last four outings. The season’s first meeting between these teams was a narrow 61-59 victory for Morgan State on Delaware State’s home floor on Jan. 17. That result adds a layer of anticipation for the rematch, as the Hornets look to avenge the close loss. For Delaware State, breaking the prolonged slump will require improved offensive output; the team has failed to reach 60 points in any game during its current losing streak. Morgan State will aim to capitalize on its home court and carry forward the defensive intensity that held South Carolina State to 47 points. Following this contest, Delaware State will host South Carolina State on Feb. 26. Morgan State will remain at home to face Norfolk State on the same date.
