CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (Interstat) — The Harvard women’s basketball team will look to bounce back from a weekend loss and solidify its position in the Ivy League standings when it hosts Cornell on Saturday at Lavietes Pavilion. The Crimson (14-9) enter the matchup after a 68-62 defeat at Brown last Saturday, which snapped a four-game winning streak. Harvard’s offense runs through guard Abigail Wright, who is coming off a career-high 29-point performance in that loss. Over her last six games, Wright is averaging 12.2 points. Cornell (8-15) seeks to end a four-game skid, most recently a 59-38 home loss to Princeton on Feb. 14. The Big Red have struggled offensively during the losing streak, failing to reach 70 points in any of the contests. Guard Clarke Jackson has been a consistent contributor, scoring in double figures in three of the last six games, including a 12-point, 8-rebound effort in a narrow loss at Princeton on Jan. 31. The previous meeting this season heavily favors Harvard. On Jan. 24 in Ithaca, N.Y., the Crimson dominated Cornell in an 84-38 victory. Wright had 6 points in that win, while Jackson led Cornell with 7. Harvard holds a decisive edge in recent form and season performance. The Crimson have won 10 of their last 14 games, while the Big Red have lost 10 of their last 12 against Division I opponents. Cornell’s last road win was a 62-58 victory at Penn on Jan. 30. Following this game, Harvard will continue its Ivy League schedule at home against Penn on Feb. 27. Cornell will hit the road to face Brown on Feb. 27. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.
