Preview: Monmouth Hawks at William & Mary Tribe WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Interstat) — A pivotal late-season Colonial Athletic Association women’s basketball matchup is set for Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, as the Monmouth Hawks visit the William & Mary Tribe at Kaplan Arena. Monmouth (17-8) enters with the stronger overall record, looking to build momentum for the conference tournament. The Hawks are coming off a 69-57 home victory over College of Charleston on Sunday, led by 19 points and six rebounds from standout guard Divine Dibula. Dibula has been a consistent force, averaging 16.4 points over her last seven games, including a 24-point, 15-rebound performance in a double-overtime win at Drexel on Feb. 8. William & Mary (13-10) aims to defend its home court and even the season series after dropping a 56-53 decision at Monmouth on Jan. 16. The Tribe is riding high after a 75-70 win over Towson, powered by a dominant 25-point, 12-rebound, four-block effort from forward Jana Sallman. Sallman’s production has been volatile but explosive; she has recorded two double-doubles and a six-block game in her last five outings. The contest features a compelling clash in styles. Monmouth relies on the backcourt scoring of Dibula, supported by Alexis Andrews (14 points, five assists vs. Charleston). William & Mary will look to establish an interior presence through Sallman and capitalize on guard Monet Dance’s playmaking, as she dished six assists in the win over Towson. Defensive intensity will be key. Monmouth has held opponents to 60 points or fewer in four of its last five wins. William & Mary’s defense, anchored by Sallman’s rim protection, limited Hofstra to 37 points in a Jan. 26 victory. With both teams jockeying for postseason positioning, Friday’s result could prove critical. Monmouth seeks a road sweep in Virginia after winning at Hampton earlier this season, while William & Mary looks to solidify its standing with a signature home win. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern.
