SPOKANE, Wash. (Interstat) — The Gonzaga Bulldogs, riding a strong season and seeking to rebound from a rare conference loss, will host the struggling Washington State Cougars in a West Coast women’s basketball matchup on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. The Bulldogs (19-8) enter McCarthey Athletic Center looking to solidify their standing after a 63-72 road loss to Loyola Marymount last Saturday snapped a four-game winning streak. Gonzaga previously handled Washington State 81-75 in Pullman on Jan. 31. Washington State (5-22) aims to halt a two-game skid following a 61-68 home loss to Portland last Thursday. The Cougars’ lone win in their last seven outings was an 80-76 victory at San Diego on Feb. 5. Gonzaga’s success has been fueled by guard Allie Turner, who scored 19 points in the loss to LMU and dropped 16 points in the January win over the Cougars. She averages 12.1 points per game over her last seven contests. For Washington State, forward Charlotte Abraham has been a consistent bright spot. She poured in 18 points against Portland and has scored in double figures in five of her last seven games, including the prior matchup with Gonzaga where she had 16 points. The Bulldogs have dominated defensively at home recently, holding their last three opponents in Spokane to an average of 41.3 points. They will test a Cougars offense averaging 68.4 points per game. Following this contest, Gonzaga travels to face Pacific on Saturday, while Washington State visits Oregon State.
