Preview: North Florida Ospreys at Stetson Hatters - Women’s Basketball DELAND, Fla. (Interstat) — The Stetson Hatters look to continue their push near the top of the ASUN Conference standings when they host the struggling North Florida Ospreys in a women’s basketball rematch on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. Stetson (16-9) enters the contest at the Edmunds Center having won five of its last six games, including a decisive 74-56 victory at North Florida just two weeks ago on Feb. 5. The Hatters are coming off a 62-52 win over Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday, led by a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double from standout forward Aleah Sorrentino. Sorrentino, who scored 20 points in the earlier win over North Florida, has been a consistent force. Over her last five games, she is averaging 16.6 points and 6.2 rebounds. North Florida (8-17) seeks to end a four-game skid and find revenge for the lopsided loss earlier this month. The Ospreys fell 58-52 to Jacksonville in their last outing, their seventh loss in eight games. Guard Dezuray McGill led the way with 15 points and five rebounds in that defeat. McGill has shown flashes of high-level scoring, including an 18-point performance against West Georgia on Feb. 7, but consistency has been an issue for the Ospreys. The team has failed to reach 60 points in three of its last four games. The Hatters have dominated the recent series, winning the last three meetings by an average margin of 18.3 points. Stetson’s balanced attack, which features four players averaging double-figure scoring in conference play, will test a North Florida defense allowing 68.2 points per game. A Stetson win would solidify its position for a favorable seed in the upcoming ASUN tournament, while North Florida is fighting to improve its standing and gain momentum in the final weeks of the regular season. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST at the Edmunds Center.
