Mountaineers Visit Purple Eagles in MAAC Matchup SANBORN, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers visit the Niagara Purple Eagles in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women’s basketball game on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at Gallagher Center. The Mountaineers (12-13) enter looking to steady themselves after a 43-69 home loss to Fairfield on Feb. 12. They had won three of their previous four games, including a 68-63 overtime victory at Sacred Heart on Feb. 7 and a 63-62 win at Iona on Feb. 5. Niagara (0-25) continues its search for its first win of the season. The Purple Eagles are coming off a 55-72 loss at Iona on Feb. 14. Their last 10 games have all been decided by double digits. Mount St. Mary’s won the previous meeting this season, 62-49 at home on Jan. 19. A key player for the Mountaineers is Kayla Lindsey. She led the team with nine points in 27 minutes in the loss to Fairfield. For Niagara, guard Chasity Wilson has been a bright spot, scoring 21 points in two of her last four games, including the Feb. 14 contest against Iona. Following this game, Mount St. Mary’s travels to face Canisius on Saturday. Niagara remains at home to host Rider on Saturday.
