Preview: Toledo Rockets at Massachusetts Minutemen HADLEY, Mass. (Interstat) — The Massachusetts Minutemen, riding a strong season, will host the Toledo Rockets in a Mid-American Conference women’s basketball matchup Wednesday night at the Mullins Center. Massachusetts (18-5) enters with momentum after a narrow 65-64 home victory over Miami (Ohio) on Saturday. The Minutemen have won four of their last five games, with their only recent setback a 71-57 loss to James Madison on Feb. 8. The Minutemen are led by guard Megan Olbrys, who is coming off a versatile performance with 12 points, six rebounds and five assists in 39 minutes against Miami (Ohio). Olbrys has been a consistent force, scoring 16 or more points in three of her last six contests, including a 24-point effort at Ohio on Jan. 28. Toledo (13-10) arrives after a 62-51 home win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday. The Rockets have alternated wins and losses over their last six games, seeking more consistency as conference play deepens. The Rockets will rely heavily on forward Faith Fedd-Robinson, who recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Eastern Michigan. Fedd-Robinson has been a standout, posting two double-doubles in her last five games, including a 20-point, 15-rebound performance in a victory over Southern Mississippi on Feb. 7. This contest pits Toledo’s recent defensive form, having held its last two opponents under 70 points, against a balanced Massachusetts offense that has averaged 72.2 points per game in conference play. Following this game, Massachusetts will travel to face Central Michigan on Saturday. Toledo will visit Bowling Green on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST Wednesday at the Mullins Center.
