The Cardinals (21-5) enter on a five-game win streak, most recently defeating Bowling Green 82-67 on Saturday. Buffalo (2-22) has lost 10 consecutive games, with its last win coming on Jan. 3. The matchup features a stark contrast in season trajectories. Ball State, led by standout guard Bree Salenbien, has won 10 of its last 11 games. Salenbien is averaging 20.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. She is coming off a dominant 32-point, 8-rebound performance against Bowling Green. Buffalo, meanwhile, has found consistent results hard to secure. Guard Ella Corry has been a bright spot, averaging 9.1 points per game. She scored 12 points in the Bulls’ last outing, a 72-61 loss at Bowling Green on Feb. 10. The teams last met on Jan. 14 in Muncie, Indiana, where Ball State delivered a lopsided 103-61 victory. Salenbien scored 28 points in that contest. For Ball State, maintaining its offensive efficiency will be key. The Cardinals have scored 83 or more points in four of their last five wins. Buffalo will aim to slow the pace and find scoring beyond Corry, with Aniya Rowe (8.4 ppg) and Meg Lucas (7.9 ppg) as secondary options. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff. Ball State will visit Miami (Ohio) on Saturday. Buffalo will travel to face Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
