WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (Interstat) — A clash of surging teams will highlight Sunday’s women’s college basketball slate when the College of Charleston Cougars visit the Monmouth Hawks at the Multipurpose Activity Center. The Cougars (19-3) enter as one of the nation’s hottest teams, riding a 10-game winning streak. Their most recent victory was an 81-61 rout of UNC Wilmington on Feb. 6, led by 15 points from Grace Ezebilo and 13 points and seven assists apiece from Taryn and Taylor Barbot. Charleston’s last loss came on Jan. 2. Monmouth (16-7) has won three of its last four, including a gritty 62-60 double-overtime road win at Drexel on Feb. 8. Divine Dibula powered that effort with a dominant 24-point, 15-rebound performance. Ezebilo, a key force for Charleston, is coming off a stretch where she grabbed a staggering 24 rebounds in a win at Campbell on Feb. 3. Dibula has been Monmouth’s consistent standout, averaging a double-double over her last six contests. This matchup pits Charleston’s high-powered offense, which has scored 77 or more points in four of its last six games, against a Monmouth defense that has held opponents to 60 points or fewer in nine of its 16 wins. The game is a critical late-season conference test for both squads. Charleston will look to protect its elite record, while Monmouth aims to add a signature win to its postseason resume. Following this contest, Charleston visits Towson on Feb. 20, while Monmouth travels to William & Mary the same day. Tip-off is set for Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026.
