Preview: Louisiana-Lafayette at South Alabama Womenās Basketball MOBILE, Ala. (Interstat) ā The South Alabama Jaguars will look to snap a seven-game losing streak when they host the Louisiana-Lafayette Raginā Cajuns in a Sun Belt Conference womenās basketball matchup on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at the Mitchell Center. South Alabama (9-14) last won on Jan. 10 but will face a struggling Louisiana-Lafayette (3-22) team that has lost 10 of its last 11 games. The Jaguars defeated the Raginā Cajuns 81-56 in Lafayette on Jan. 3 in the teamsā first meeting this season. A key matchup will feature two of the conferenceās top scorers. South Alabama has shown an ability to score, averaging 67.3 points in its last three contests, but has struggled defensively, allowing 73.3 points per game during that stretch. The game is part of a critical late-season stretch for both teams as they prepare for the upcoming Sun Belt Conference tournament. Following this contest, South Alabama will travel to face Troy on Wednesday, while Louisiana-Lafayette will host Southern Mississippi.
