Preview: Lindenwood Hosts Southeast Missouri State in OVC Womenâs Basketball SAINT CHARLES, Mo. (Interstat) â The Lindenwood Lions, riding high in Ohio Valley Conference play, will host the struggling Southeast Missouri State Redhawks in a womenâs basketball matchup on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026. Tipoff is set for Robert F. Hyland Performance Arena in a game featuring teams at opposite ends of the conference standings. Lindenwood (19-7 overall) enters as one of the OVCâs top teams, while Southeast Missouri State (8-16) looks to snap a three-game skid. The Lions, who defeated Tennessee-Martin 54-49 on Thursday, are led by standout guard Ellie Brueggemann. She is averaging 15.3 points over her last seven games, including a 26-point performance in a win at Southern Indiana on Jan. 29. Brueggemann scored 15 points in the teamâs most recent victory. Southeast Missouri is coming off a 69-61 road loss to SIU Edwardsville on Thursday. Freshman guard Ainaya Williams provided a bright spot in that defeat, erupting for a career-high 21 points in just 15 minutes off the bench. Williams has shown flashes of scoring prowess, also posting 13 points against Southern Indiana on Feb. 7. The teams met earlier this season on Jan. 15 in Cape Girardeau, with Lindenwood securing a 78-66 victory. The Lions have won seven of their last eight games overall. Lindenwoodâs defense has been a key to its success, holding opponents to an average of 58.2 points during its current hot stretch. The Lions will aim to contain Williams and a Redhawks offense that has been held under 70 points in 10 consecutive games. For Southeast Missouri, finding consistent scoring beyond Williamsâ recent surge will be critical. Carmen Taylor, who had 13 points against SIU Edwardsville, is the only other Redhawks player averaging double figures for the season. The game is part of a packed OVC schedule as the regular season enters its final weeks. Lindenwood will visit Tennessee State next on Feb. 19, while Southeast Missouri State travels to face Tennessee-Martin on Feb. 17.
