GREEN BAY, Wis. (Interstat) — The Green Bay Phoenix look to rebound from a rare conference loss when they host the Northern Kentucky Norse in a Horizon League women’s basketball matchup Saturday at the Resch Center. Green Bay (20-6, 12-3 Horizon) saw a seven-game winning streak snapped in an 83-82 overtime road loss to first-place Cleveland State on Wednesday. The Phoenix, who are 11-1 at home this season, will aim to regain their footing against a Northern Kentucky team they defeated 70-60 on Dec. 4. The Phoenix are led by guard Maddy Skorupski, who is coming off a career-high 25-point performance against Cleveland State. Over her last five games, Skorupski is averaging 16.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists. Northern Kentucky (12-14, 7-8) arrives with momentum after a 59-56 road victory at Milwaukee on Thursday. The Norse have shown resilience, winning three of their last five contests, with two of those losses coming in overtime. The Norse rely heavily on guard Mya Meredith, who scored 18 points in the win over Milwaukee. Meredith has been a consistent offensive force, averaging 16.8 points over her last six games. Karina Bystry, who added 16 points and six rebounds against Milwaukee, provides key support. Green Bay’s defense, which allows just 58.2 points per game in league play, will be tested by Meredith and a Norse offense that has scored 77 points or more in three of its last six outings. Conversely, Northern Kentucky must contain a balanced Phoenix attack that features four players averaging double figures in conference games. A Green Bay victory would solidify its hold on second place in the Horizon League standings, while Northern Kentucky seeks to improve its positioning for the upcoming conference tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026.
