BOZEMAN, Mont. (Interstat) — A surging Montana State women’s basketball team will look to continue its dominance over its rival when the Bobcats visit the Montana Lady Griz in a Big Sky Conference matchup on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at Dahlberg Arena. The Bobcats (17-6, 9-1 Big Sky) enter on a five-game winning streak and sit atop the conference standings. They handily defeated the Lady Griz (7-16, 4-6) just four weeks ago in Bozeman, 82-44, and have won seven of the last eight meetings in the series. Montana State is led by standout guard Taylee Chirrick, who is averaging 20.1 points per game in conference play. She scored 19 points in the Jan. 17 rout of Montana and is coming off an 18-point performance in a 71-69 road win at Eastern Washington last Saturday. Chirrick has scored in double figures in 12 of her last 13 games, including a 31-point, 12-rebound effort against Portland State on Jan. 31. Montana, struggling through a difficult season, will rely on guard Mack Konig to provide an offensive spark. Konig erupted for a career-high 28 points in the Lady Griz’s most recent outing, an 89-65 loss at Idaho. She has averaged 14.0 points over her last three games but will need significant support from her teammates to challenge the conference leaders. The Bobcats have been formidable on both ends of the floor, holding opponents to an average of 57.2 points during their current win streak. Montana, conversely, has lost three straight and is allowing 79.7 points per game in that span. Saturday’s contest is the first of two remaining regular-season games between the in-state foes. The rematch is scheduled for March 6 in Bozeman. Tipoff in Missoula is set for 2 p.m. MST. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
