EASTON, Pa. (Interstat) — The Patriot League’s most-played rivalry adds a new chapter Saturday when the Lehigh Mountain Hawks visit the Lafayette Leopards in a women’s basketball matchup at Kirby Sports Center. Lehigh (13-10) enters on a three-game winning streak, including a dominant 79-51 road victory at American on Wednesday. The Mountain Hawks have won five of their last seven and currently sit in the upper half of the conference standings. Lafayette (8-16) looks to snap a six-game skid, having last won on Jan. 28 against Bucknell. The visiting Mountain Hawks will lean on the hot hand of guard Whitney Lind. She is averaging 17.1 points over her last seven games, including a 23-point performance against American. In the first meeting this season, a 62-48 Lehigh win on Jan. 24, Lind scored 14 points. Lafayette will counter with forward Maddison Krug, a consistent interior presence who leads the team in rebounding. Krug recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds against Boston University last month and blocked four shots in the Leopards’ most recent game at Loyola Maryland. While Lehigh won the January contest comfortably, the rivalry’s intensity often negates records. Lafayette will aim to protect its home floor and find an offensive spark after being held under 60 points in five of its six consecutive losses. Following this game, Lehigh hosts Navy on Wednesday, while Lafayette welcomes Holy Cross. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026.
