Both teams enter with identical 14-win overall records and momentum from victories the previous night. Harvard (14-8) defeated Yale 70-62 on Friday, while Brown (14-7) earned a 58-51 home win over Dartmouth. The contest is a quick rematch of a Jan. 31 thriller in Cambridge, where Harvard’s Karlee White scored 21 points to lead the Crimson to a narrow 61-58 victory over the Bears. That result tightened the conference standings and sets the stage for a high-stakes Valentine’s Day showdown in Providence. White, a dynamic guard, has been on a scoring tear. She is averaging 18.4 points over her last five games, including a 27-point, 10-rebound performance in a narrow overtime loss to Princeton on Jan. 19.
