CLINTON, S.C. (Interstat) â A Big South Conference rematch with postseason seeding implications is set for Saturday when the Gardner-Webb Runninâ Bulldogs visit the Presbyterian Blue Hose in womenâs basketball. The game, scheduled for Feb. 14, 2026, at the Templeton Center, will see Gardner-Webb (9-16) aim to avenge a 50-46 home loss to Presbyterian (3-21) just three weeks prior on Jan. 21. That result stands as one of the Blue Hoseâs three wins this season. Gardner-Webb enters with momentum from a 56-44 victory over Charleston Southern on Wednesday. The Runninâ Bulldogs have won three of their last five, largely fueled by the explosive play of guard Amina Gray. Gray is averaging 18.3 points over her last three games, including a 27-point performance in a win over Winthrop on Feb. 7. Her production will be key, as she was held to just three points in the January loss to Presbyterian. The Blue Hose, mired in a five-game losing streak, will look to replicate their defensive success from the first meeting. They are led by guard Krystal Haddock, who logged 40 minutes and scored 10 points in the January win over Gardner-Webb. Haddock is coming off a 14-point, 6-rebound effort in an 88-62 loss to Charleston Southern on Feb. 7. While Presbyterianâs record reflects a difficult season, their head-to-head victory provides a psychological edge. Gardner-Webb, however, has shown improved form lately and will seek to even the season series on the road. The matchup pits Gardner-Webbâs recent offensive surge, led by Gray, against a Presbyterian team that has found one of its few reliable formulas for victory in defending the Runninâ Bulldogs. With both teams jockeying for position ahead of the Big South tournament, the contest offers critical momentum for the final stretch of the regular season.
