Preview: Grand Canyon Antelopes at UNLV Runninā Rebels LAS VEGAS (Interstat) ā The UNLV womenās basketball team looks to rebound from a midweek loss when it hosts Grand Canyon on Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center. The Runninā Rebels (16-8) fell 82-72 to Wyoming on Wednesday despite a career-high 30 points from junior guard Meadow Roland. UNLV has been strong at home this season, winning three of its last four in Las Vegas. Grand Canyon (9-15) arrives after a heartbreaking 65-64 road loss at Air Force last Saturday, a game in which it led by 12 points in the second half. The Antelopes have shown recent improvement, however, winning three of their last five contests. The matchup features two of the conferenceās top individual talents. UNLVās Roland is averaging 20.0 points and 8.3 rebounds over her last three games. She recorded a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Colorado State on Jan. 31. For Grand Canyon, all eyes will be on forward Julianna LaMendola. She is coming off a dominant 26-point, seven-rebound, three-block performance in the narrow loss to Air Force. Over her last eight games, LaMendola is averaging 14.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks, providing a consistent interior presence for the Antelopes. This is the second meeting between the teams this season. UNLV edged Grand Canyon 61-60 in Phoenix on Dec. 17, 2025. The Antelopes will be seeking their first win in the series since the 2022-23 season. The game is a critical late-season conference clash for both sides. UNLV aims to solidify its positioning near the top of the league standings, while Grand Canyon looks to build momentum and climb out of the lower tier. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. PST on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026. UNLV travels to San Diego State next Wednesday, while Grand Canyon returns home to host New Mexico on Feb. 18.
