Preview: Duquesne Dukes at Fordham Rams NEW YORK (Interstat) â Two Atlantic 10 womenâs basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Saturday when the Fordham Rams host the Duquesne Dukes at Rose Hill Gym. The Rams (10-15) enter the Valentineâs Day matinee coming off a gritty 42-39 road victory at Saint Louis on Wednesday. Fordhamâs defense anchored the win, holding the Billikens to just 39 points. Carryn Easley led the Rams with 11 points and six rebounds in that contest. Easley, a key player for Fordham, has scored in double figures in four of her last eight games. Duquesne (8-16) snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 67-55 home win over Loyola Chicago on Wednesday. The Dukes were propelled by a double-double from forward Reina Green, who posted 11 points and 13 rebounds. Green has been a consistent performer, averaging 9.1 points and 6.0 rebounds over her last eight games. Alexis Bordas added a team-high 19 points in the victory. While both teams have struggled in conference play, the matchup represents a chance to climb the A-10 standings. Fordham will look to protect its home court, where it earned a decisive 66-53 win over Saint Bonaventure last month. Duquesne aims to build on its recent win and secure a rare road victory. Historically, Fordham has controlled the series, winning the last five meetings. The Rams defeated the Dukes 65-48 in Pittsburgh last season. Saturdayâs game will tip off at 2 p.m. EST. Fordham will look to sophomore guard Easley to facilitate the offense, while Duquesne will rely on Greenâs interior presence and the scoring of Bordas and Gabby Grantham-Medley, who dished out six assists against Loyola Chicago. The Ramsâ next game is at Rhode Island on Feb. 21. The Dukes travel to Saint Josephâs on Feb. 18.
