HONOLULU (Interstat) — The Hawaii women’s basketball team looks to solidify its position in the Big West Conference standings when it hosts Cal State Northridge on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Warriors (12-10 overall) enter the Valentine’s Day matchup holding a winning record, while the visiting Matadors (8-14) seek to build momentum from a recent road victory. Hawaii won the first meeting this season, 64-55, in Northridge on Jan. 24. In that game, Hawaii’s Bailey Flavell scored 17 points in 37 minutes. Flavell, a player to watch for the Warriors, is coming off an 18-point performance in a loss to UC San Diego last Saturday and has averaged 16.8 points over her last four contests. Cal State Northridge snapped a four-game skid with a 58-53 win at UC Riverside on Feb. 7. Guard Rita Nazario led the way with 16 points in that victory and is a key offensive catalyst for the Matadors. She scored 16 points in the previous meeting with Hawaii. The Warriors have been strong at home this season, boasting conference wins over Long Beach State, UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara in Honolulu since the calendar turned to January. Cal State Northridge has struggled on the road, with a 1-6 record in true away games during the same period. A Hawaii win would complete a regular-season sweep and improve the Warriors to 9-4 in conference play. A Northridge upset would even the season series and provide a crucial road result as the Matadors fight to climb the league table. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. local time at Stan Sheriff Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
