Struggling MAAC Foes Meet as Manhattan Hosts Canisius NEW YORK (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum in the back half of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play will meet Saturday when the Manhattan Lady Jaspers host the Canisius Golden Griffins in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball matchup. Tipoff is set for Feb. 14, 2026, at Draddy Gymnasium. Both programs enter with difficult season records. Manhattan (6-18 overall) sits just above Canisius (4-20) in the conference standings. Each team is coming off a result that typified their seasons: a convincing win followed by a narrow loss for the Lady Jaspers, and a seventh straight defeat for the Golden Griffins. Manhattan snapped a three-game skid with a 60-42 home victory over Niagara on Thursday. Colette Mulderig scored 16 points and blocked four shots, continuing her strong recent play. The junior forward is averaging 14.3 points over her last six games, including a 20-point, 10-rebound performance in a loss at Siena on Feb. 8. Canisius fell 52-45 at Iona on Thursday, extending a losing streak that dates to Jan. 31. The Golden Griffins have struggled offensively, failing to reach 60 points in five of their last seven games. Guard Yasmine Djibril, the team’s most consistent scoring threat, led the way with 15 points against Iona. She has scored in double figures in five of her last eight contests. The teams last met on Jan. 8 in Buffalo, with Manhattan securing a decisive 69-43 victory. The Lady Jaspers have won three straight in the series. With both squads near the bottom of the MAAC, the game represents a critical opportunity to build confidence and climb the standings ahead of the conference tournament.
