Preview: Bethune-Cookman Wildcats at Alcorn State Lady Braves LORMAN, Miss. (Interstat) — The Alcorn State Lady Braves will look to solidify their position in the Southwestern Athletic Conference standings when they host the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game Saturday. Tipoff is set for Feb. 14, 2026, at the Davey Whitney Complex on the campus of Alcorn State University. The Lady Braves (12-10 overall) enter with momentum, having won five of their last six games. Their most recent result was a 62-50 home victory over Florida A&M on Thursday. Guard Kiarra Henderson has been a catalyst, averaging 12.8 points and 6.2 assists over her last six contests. In the teams’ first meeting this season, a 56-51 Alcorn State win at Bethune-Cookman on Jan. 22, Henderson dished out seven assists. The Wildcats (6-19) have shown recent signs of life, snapping a five-game skid with back-to-back home wins before securing a notable 58-50 road victory at Jackson State on Thursday. Guard Daimoni Dorsey led the way in that upset with 15 points. She has scored in double figures in eight of her last nine games, averaging 12.6 points during that stretch. Despite their recent surge, the Wildcats face a challenge reversing their fortunes away from home and overcoming an Alcorn State team that has been strong in conference play. The Lady Braves’ defense held Bethune-Cookman to 51 points in the January matchup. Alcorn State will aim to leverage its home court advantage and superior record to complete a regular-season sweep. Bethune-Cookman, riding its first three-game winning streak of the season, seeks to prove its recent form is a turning point and pull off a road conference upset. The game is part of a full SWAC schedule for Saturday.
