Preview: Towson Tigers at Hampton Pirates HAMPTON, Va. (Interstat) â The Towson Tigers visit the Hampton Pirates in a womenâs NCAA Division I basketball matchup on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at the Convocation Center. Towson (13-10) enters with momentum from a 63-55 home victory over Northeastern on Feb. 8. The Tigers have shown inconsistency, however, alternating wins and losses over their last six contests. A key performer has been Viki Matulevicius, who led the team with 14 points and six rebounds in the win over Northeastern. Over her last three games, Matulevicius is averaging 10 points and 3.3 rebounds. Hampton (9-14) looks to snap a three-game skid, most recently a 75-59 loss at Hofstra on Feb. 8. The Pirates have struggled offensively during the losing streak, failing to reach 60 points. They will rely on forward Taylor Gibson, who matched a season-high with 14 points against Hofstra. Gibsonâs recent production has been a bright spot, averaging 9.5 points and 4.0 rebounds over her last two outings. The Tigers hold a clear advantage in the standings, but have faced challenges on the road this season. Hampton will aim to leverage its home court, where it secured a convincing 60-48 win over UNC Wilmington on Jan. 30. This contest represents a critical opportunity for both teams as the regular season enters its final weeks. Towson seeks to build a winning streak and solidify its position, while Hampton desperately needs a victory to reverse its recent fortunes. The battle in the paint between Towsonâs Matulevicius and Hamptonâs Gibson could be a decisive factor. Tip-off is scheduled for Friday evening at Hamptonâs Convocation Center.
