BOSTON (Interstat) — A surging College of Charleston women’s basketball team, boasting one of the nation’s top records, visits struggling Northeastern in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup Friday night at Matthews Arena. The Cougars (19-3, 10-1 CAA) enter on an 11-game winning streak and sit atop the conference standings. Their dominant run includes a commanding 85-58 victory over these same Huskies just over a month ago on Jan. 4. Charleston is coming off an 81-61 win over UNC Wilmington last Friday, where Taryn Barbot (13 points, 7 assists) and Taylor Barbot (11 points, 7 assists) facilitated the offense. A key force for Charleston is forward Grace Ezebilo, who is coming off a 15-point performance against UNCW. Her most dominant outing recently was a 24-rebound effort in a win at Campbell on Feb. 3.
